Tools I’ve Been Using:

Firstly, I wanted to do a quick walk through of all of the tools I’ve used this past month in my blogging.

Dreamhost: I use dreamhost as my web host and that is also where I purchased my domain. It’s been fairly smooth sailing since I’ve started with them – I’ve had two issues (one where the server went down, and one where I couldn’t log in to the site due to an external password change). Both times I was able to get in touch with their customer service fairly quickly, and they made sure to help me fix the situation. In regards to the downtime they credited me with time lost, so I currently have money to go towards next year’s costs. 🙂

Tailwind: I use Tailwind to schedule all of my Pinterest posts, as well as to participate in Tailwind tribes. My pinterest views, and subsequent blog views, have skyrocketed since I have started using this service.

Later: I use later to schedule all of my instagram posts, I absolutely adore the auto-publish feature, and the fact that you can schedule 30 posts a month absolutely free is a godsend. I occasionally use later to schedule twitter and facebook posts as well.

Twuffer: I use Twuffer to schedule most twitter posts, again it is free up to a certain amount. I typically only schedule one tweet a day so I never worry about going over the free limit.

Blogging Report: Statistics

Blog Visitors: 2225 compared to 2331 last month

Instagram Followers: 692 compared to 653

Facebook Likes: 8 compared to 4 last month

Email Subscribers: 84 compared to 50

Pinterest Followers: 99 compared 36

Pinterest Impressions: 1.4 million compared to 139.1k

Income & expenses

This will be a short and sweet section this month. I only spent money on my tailwind membership this month, and I didn’t actually see any income. I am getting clicks on my affiliate links, and I am bringing in a bit of change on my ads – but I won’t actually see a paycheque until $100 so I won’t count it until then! Everything is heading in the right direction though, so I’m excited to see how things turn out in the future. 🙂

My Goals From July:

  • increase email list to 100
  • schedule + post daily to all social media
  • work on setting up my online shop

The above bullet points are my goals from last months blogging report. As you will note from this months statistics, I didn’t quite reach 100 email subscribers. However, I am happy because I’ve still been gaining subscribers.

I was quite successful with posting daily to social media, I think I missed a couple of days due to technical errors or mistakes on my part. But, in the long run, using the above mentioned scheduling tools I was able to be extremely consistent in all my social media channels.

I wasn’t able to spend much time focusing on setting up my online shop, so that will be a huge focus of mine this coming month!

Goals for August:

  • continue working on increasing my email list to 100. I’ve decided that once I hit 100 I’m going to do a giveaway for all of my subscribers! If you haven’t signed up yet, now is the perfect time to do that!
  • continue to work ahead on my editorial calendar -have all social media scheduled a month in advance. That way I can free up time to respond to comments, enjoy other people’s work, and continue to focus on other aspects of my blog.
  • keep taking steps towards setting up an Etsy (or other online storefront) store!

That’s it for July’s blogging report! Do you find keeping reports like this allows you to stay accountable? Let me know below in the comments!
