The word of the year is a concept that tends to be swirling around in the bullet journal community this time of the year. My personal definition of the ‘word of the year’ is a word that you choose to guide you in how you want to live the next year. It can be an inspirational word or an action word that helps push you in the direction of your goals.
2019 Word of the Year
This is actually the first year that I’m doing this! I’m really looking forward to how it will play out. The word I have chosen for 2019 is CREATE. In a simple sense, I want to create more physical tangible things in 2019, but I also want to create experiences for myself, create healthier relationships, etc.
I really feel like create is a word that will guide me to be more open to opportunities and experiences in 2019, and I’m excited to see where it will take me.
Laying out my word of the year in my bullet journal!
I had lots of fun laying out this spread in my 2019 bullet journal, and I took the inspiration for how I set it up from the blogger at sublimereflection.com.
I created different categories for how I wanted to create in 2019, they were:
- Blog/Business (Zigzags & Zebras, and
- Vocation (my day job)
- Avocation (my hobbies)
- Social (my family/friends/relationships)
- Physical Environment
I’ve outlined how I want to create under each category, and in my big goals for 2019, I am making sure I incorporate these concepts. I want to be purposefully thinking of how I will create in everything I do in 2019.
I am so excited to consciously create a life and business I love in 2019!
Did you choose a word for 2019? I’d love to hear what it is below in the comments!
